It might be that times were just different back then, but Im disappointed into Jinshi and the author with this typical shoujo style Male dominance intimacy. | I doubt it would if it were a thing, but it isn't even a thing and nothing which transpired within the course of this latest released episode supports such a claim. Rape is rape - Not just someone being a little pushy (and then nothing even happening in the end anyway, but even if it had). It's someone using physical force to hold down someone kicking and screaming to commit a sex act in a completely one-sided fashion, forcefully and against their will. Or, absent the use of physical force, credible threats of bodily harm up to and including death. Or acts carried out without conscious awareness against unknowingly drugged and/or comatose people. Nothing like that went on. You might as well say someone is being a little murderous for kicking or slapping someone. There's obviously a whole long and broad range and scale of human interactions so when you blur the lines and water the word down by lowering the threshold for its application so dramatically, you really only advance the cause of the word losing meaning in the long run. |

| Jinshi and Mao Mao shoujo romance will likely be forced given the source material the ln is a shoujo despite the manga saying seinen. Women love s and m stuff so you should be aware of that element. I dropped in s1 when I realized this was not truly a seinen. |

| I don't think so, but such actions are unpleasant anyway. It would be completely different if Mao was romantically interested in him. So far, from the very beginning of the series, Jinshi touches her, smells her (in the manga, kisses her on the neck), hugs her, wants her to lick his fingers, etc. and in each of these scenes Mao's discomfort is clearly visible. This wouldn't be a problem but the series tries to romanticize it or turns it into joke. ''lick my fingers'' haha its so funny and romantic |
